Challenge / Application of the Project: Prowess Consulting needed to create some promotional pieces for their clients, Intel and Microsoft, that would help them educate the masses about the benefits of various Windows 7 features running on Intel-based computers. They also wanted to extend the usefullness of the standard product demo and create a deliverable that would maximize their return on investment.
What RCS brought to the project to benefit it / complete it: Red Card Studios created an engaging UI and iconography style and animated a series of demos for Prowess. The animations were then played inside a user interface that was coded to be dual purposed for both online and offline use. The online version of each demo is an XML driven standard product demo complete with voice over narration but, with a few tweaks, the offline version becomes more of a presentation piece with the voice over removed and PowerPoint-esque functionality added. Stops were added to the animations to create 'slides' that a user was then able to advance through using the keyboard or mouse. With a focus on flexibility and reusability, Red Card Studios delivered a cost effective solution to their client's needs.
