Title: “The DocAve Agents” Promotional Animation
Skillset(s): Creative Consulting, Character Design, Flash Animation
Client: AvePoint
Challenge / Application of the Project: To showcase the latest version of DocAve 4.1, their premier enterprise-level backup and data management software for Microsoft's SharePoint 2003 and 2007, AvePoint looked to create a fun and exciting animation that would draw passers-by to their booth at an upcoming trade show. Intrigued by look and success of the Office Noir series of animations Red Card Studios produced for Microsoft, AvePoint wanted something similar, but with their own unique twist. The resulting product needed to be be hip and enticing, while still conveying the techincal advancements in their product.
What RCS brought to the project to benefit it / complete it: Red Card Studios designed a striking and unique comic book world, complete with a host of characters that would work well with the script the client provided. The ensuing animation acted as a showcase for the Tech Ed, Microsoft's premier annual conference for IT Pros and Developers. Due to the success of the flagship episode, AvePoint is using this as a recurring episodic marketing device for promoting new products and services.
